Frisco Montessori Academy is a private year round school which provides an authentic Montessori education for children 18 months through 6th grade. FMA’s academic school year is August through May, with Summer Montessori Sessions available. The school opens at 7:00 am and closes at 6:30 pm and offers a Lunch Program, Before/After School Care Program, as well as, Extended Day Enrichment Programs.
FMA is conveniently located at 8890 Meadow Hill Drive right off of Preston Road between Main Street and Eldorado Parkway.
Frisco Montessori Academy operates three Pre-Primary (ages 18 months to 3 1/2 years) and six Primary classes (ages 3-6). Two Lower Elementary classrooms and two Upper Elementary classrooms comprise FMA’s Elementary Program (grades 1st – 6th). A certified Montessori teacher and assistant prepare and conduct each classroom following Montessori principles.
Frisco Montessori Academy’s academic curriculum includes Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, Cultural, History, and Science. As part of the Montessori curriculum, children also attend classes in Computer, Spanish, Art, Music, Garden, and Elementary Physical Education. Elementary students perform in an annual Music Program as well as an annual Drama Program. In Art class, the Elementary students create the backdrops and props for each play and show case their artistic talents in an annual Art Exhibition. FMA also provides Internet access for the Elementary students. In addition, FMA hosts educational visitors each month and Elementary field trips which enhance the children’s learning and spark their curiosity about the evolving world around them.
